How it works

Three steps from report to enforcement.

1

Submit a report

File a report with evidence and a written description using /report or the web form.

2

Human review

Moderators review evidence and decide whether to accept or reject the report.

3

Global enforcement

Accepted reports trigger automatic bans across all servers with enforcement enabled.

Features

What Redacted brings to Discord communities.

Global Ban Enforcement

When a report is accepted, the user is banned from all servers with enforcement enabled. One review, network-wide protection.

Evidence-First Reports

Reports require written explanations plus descriptions for every attachment. No anonymous accusations without proof.

Manual Review

Every report is reviewed by human moderators. Decisions can be appealed if evidence is missing or misinterpreted.

Opt-In Enforcement

Servers choose whether to enable automatic enforcement. Full control over how the bot integrates with your community.

Manage all your servers from one place. Toggle features, set log channels, and monitor activity through a clean web interface.

How Redacted started

Redacted started as a community-driven idea: build a simple, consistent way to capture reports with proof, make them reviewable, and help moderators respond quickly when patterns emerge.

The goal is not vigilantism — it's accountability, clarity, and safer spaces for everyone.

What we consider a "predator"

Redacted focuses on harmful behavior: grooming, sexual exploitation, manipulation, coercion, and sexual harassment. This includes targeting minors and adults who are being harassed, pressured, or exploited.

All reports are reviewed manually before any action is taken. If a decision is incorrect or incomplete, affected users may appeal.

Examples (non-exhaustive)

  • Soliciting explicit content from minors
  • Adult-to-adult sexual harassment or coercion
  • Grooming or manipulative sexual behavior (any age)
  • Threats, blackmail, or exploitation tied to sexual content
  • Sharing or requesting illegal sexual material

Evidence guidelines

  • Explain what happened with timeline and context
  • Describe what each screenshot or video shows
  • Avoid doxxing; share only relevant proof
  • Decisions can be appealed if evidence is misinterpreted
